Argentina’s Tucuman province is known as the world’s premier producer of lemons and lemon by-products thanks to its unique climate. Citromax, established in 1964, has more than 4,000 hectares (12,000 acres) of lemon groves in the Tucuman region.
The success of our plantations begins in the nursery, where our experienced horticulture engineers grow and select each variety of lemon for planting to assure maximum efficiency of production in the field and subsequent end products. Beginning with carefully selected seeds and scions, healthy and vigorous saplings are grown, with all stages of development closely monitored by our experienced agronomists.
The Citromax Industrial Plant processes 170,000 tons of fruit per year. Our product line includes:
- Concentrated Cloudy Lemon Juice – Pulp values of 2-8%; Low Pulp / Low Sedimentation
- Concentrated Clarified Lemon Juice
- Essential Lemon Oil
- Single Strength Lemon Juice (not from concentrate)

- Dried Lemon Peel—Conventional Rotary and Fluid Bed
